How you pay depends on where you're located. Here's a clear breakdown.
Aetna Insurance Accepted
If you're a Florida resident with Aetna insurance, you can now use your benefits directly for therapy sessions. Your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your specific plan, deductible, and copay — and may be significantly less than the session rate.
Before your first session, it's worth contacting Aetna directly to confirm your mental health benefits and understand your expected cost-sharing.

All Other Clients
Private pay applies to two groups: Florida residents without Aetna, and clients in other PSYPACT states. Sessions are billed at the private pay rates listed below.
This approach keeps our work free from insurance oversight — no prior authorizations, no session limits, and no third party involved in your care. Your goals stay the focus, not a billable diagnosis.
If you have insurance — whether you're a Florida resident without Aetna or in any other PSYPACT state — your plan may still cover a portion of costs through out-of-network benefits. Many PPO and some HMO plans reimburse a meaningful percentage of out-of-network mental health care. See the section below on how Thrizer makes this process simple.

Initial Intake Session
Comprehensive 75-90 minute assessment and treatment planning session to establish goals and begin our therapeutic relationship.
Standard Session
45-50 minute individual therapy session conducted via secure telehealth platform.
Payment Information
Payment Methods
Payment is due at the time of service and can be made securely through the Sessions Health platform using:
• Credit or debit cards
• HSA/FSA cards
• Bank transfer (ACH)
Cancellation Policy
I require 24 hours notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows will be charged the full session fee. I understand that emergencies happen and am always willing to discuss individual circumstances.
Out-of-Network Reimbursement
For private-pay clients, Thrizer makes it easy to use your out-of-network benefits — so you only pay your estimated share upfront rather than the full session fee.
How Thrizer Works
Thrizer is a service that handles the out-of-network claim process for you. Instead of paying the full session fee and waiting for reimbursement, Thrizer verifies your benefits, submits claims on your behalf, and lets you pay only your estimated out-of-pocket cost at the time of service.
Traditional Superbill Option
If you prefer to manage reimbursement yourself, I can also provide a superbill — a detailed receipt with all the diagnostic and billing codes your insurance needs to process an out-of-network claim. Steps:
- Contact your insurance company to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits
- Ask about your deductible, copay, and reimbursement percentage
- Request a superbill from me after your sessions
- Submit the superbill to your insurance company according to their process
- Receive reimbursement directly from your insurance company
Important: Out-of-network coverage varies significantly by plan. I recommend verifying your benefits before beginning treatment to understand your potential out-of-pocket costs.
